About Me

Hello, I am Heather, and I am a storyteller.

Currently, I tell stories as the co-host and co-creator of Sinisterhood, alongside the brilliant and hilarious Christie Wallace. Named Best Podcast of 2025 by D Magazine, Sinisterhood has been downloaded over 55 million times and consistently charts among the top comedy podcasts.

I also use my experience as a licensed attorney to break down legal concepts on the air. I still maintain my law license just in case I ever need to argue in front of the Supreme Court some day, but I’m not your lawyer.

My husband Paris and I tell stories on film with Nice Egg Entertainment, our production company.

Here, you can read or listen to me tell you all kinds of stories, mostly stuff that happens to me.

My Application to be a Female Motorhome Travel Companion

This was a post on someone’s NextDoor neighborhood app that has been screenshot and shared online. The questionnaire follows a photo of a motorhome parked at a gas pump outside of a combination Pilot truck stop/Hardee’s restaurant, the worst gas station/restaurant combo. Everyone knows the best combo is the TA/Taco Bell Express or the Exxon/McDonald’s if […]

The runaway hit has been compared to Modern Family and has grown almost as fast. I’ve laughed out loud while watching and teared up at times, too. It follows new and veteran […]

Spa Day

Oh Baby

One summer morning, my mom rounded the corner of our hallway and found me, her youngest child, just ten-years-old on the toilet, in turn guzzling soda and grunting. “What are we doing now?” she asked, looking from the two-liter bottle of Sprite on the counter to my legs dangling from the toilet. “I thought if […]

Legal Question: Logistics of a Hallmark Movie Ending

This question comes from Michele L., who asks: In light of the endless Hallmark/Lifetime Christmas movies I’ve seen (they started doing Halloween week and I cannot stop watching; send help) where a lovely American lady meets and is swept off her feet by a handsome Prince/King/Earl/whatever from a nondescript, vaguely British-esque country no one has […]

Legal Question: Do Cops Need a Warrant to Search Your Hotel Room?

This question comes from Austin, who asks: Can cops just bust into your hotel room without a warrant? We’re watching “Law and Order: SVU,” and the cops had the hotel manager open up someone’s hotel room without the hotel guest’s permission. Can they do that? Great question, Austin! CAN BENSON AND STABLER BUST UP IN […]
